Job Overview: 

The Billing Clerk is responsible for the daily functions of billing for various departments within the agency.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • General clerical duties
  • Data entry
  • Customer service
  • Verification of member eligibility
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel
  • Filing/Scanning
  • Must meet monthly billing deadlines
  • Track and document task completion
  • Billing – Manual Print, EHR, EMR, resubmittals and corrections when needed.
  • Process secondary insurances.
  • Credentialing

Qualifications and Skills: 

  • High school diploma
  • Strong computer skills Detailed-oriented with a focus on customer service.
  • Knowledge of billing processes is (strongly encouraged) but not required.
  • Familiarity with Credentialing, Magellan, Medicare, Availity, Promise, strongly encouraged to apply!

 

Clearances 

In accordance with state regulations, all prospective new employees/contractors must provide originals for photocopy of their Federal Criminal History Record (DHS FBI Background Check), PA Criminal Background Check, and PA Child Abuse Clearance before commencing the offered position.
