Job Overview:
The Certified Peer Specialist works as part of the Peer Support Team, which provides recovery-oriented services for adults (18 years and older) with serious mental health or co-occurring challenges.
Schedule:
This is a Monday through Friday 37.5 hour per week position. Part-time opportunities available.

Responsibilities:
- Help individuals identify their current needs, and steps to meet their goals while imparting hope through the sharing of the personal recovery experience.
- Collaboratively document individual progress in the Electronic Health Record.
- Support individuals in community engagement and socialization activities.
- Model and promote skills required for education, employment, community integration, and independent living.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED
- CPS certification through the PCB
- Valid Driver’s License and good driving record
Clearances
In accordance with state regulations, all prospective new employees/contractors must provide originals for a photocopy of their Federal Criminal History Record (DHS FBI Background Check), PA Criminal Background Check, and PA Child Abuse Clearance before commencing the offered position
