🧠 About the Bachelor level Therapist Role
Central is seeking a compassionate and engaging Bachelor’s-Level Therapist to join our Older Adult Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). This position works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary treatment team to support older adults experiencing behavioral health challenges through therapeutic engagement, group facilitation, emotional support, and recovery-focused care.

📝 Responsibilities
- Therapeutic Services: Facilitate daily psychoeducational and psychotherapy groups focused on coping skills, depression, anxiety, grief, and life adjustments.
- Individual Counseling: Provide tailored, person-centered individual therapy sessions to address personal goals and treatment needs.
- Treatment Planning: Develop, implement, and review patient-centered treatment plans with measurable objectives.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, and other professionals to ensure cohesive care, attending regular treatment team meetings.
- Documentation: Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulations (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS).
- Discharge Planning: Assist in managing the transition from acute care to lower levels of care
🎓 Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree Psychology or related field
Experience & Skills
- Geriatric and Group experience a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a nonjudgmental, client-centered approach
- Comfortable with digital tools and basic technology use (tablets, phones, computers)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Monitor needs of the consumers throughout the program day.
