🧠 About the Intake Coordinator Role
Central Behavioral Health is seeking an organized and compassionate Intake Coordinator to conduct intake screenings and support access to care through both telephonic and in-person interactions. This role plays a vital part in the treatment journey by gathering information, triaging needs, and connecting individuals with the right behavioral health services.
The Intake Coordinator supports Central’s Same Day Access model and serves as a key resource for clients, internal staff, and community providers.

📝 Responsibilities
-
Conduct and document intake screenings (both in-person and over the phone)
-
Triage and respond to crisis calls, providing appropriate interventions and referrals
-
Schedule appointments, initiate cases in the EHR system, and coordinate hospitalizations when needed
-
Provide information and referrals to internal programs and external resources
-
Assist with Same Day Access operations to ensure efficient intake and service connection
-
Conduct screenings for individuals seeking substance use treatment
🎓 Qualifications
Education & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related human services field preferred
-
Consideration given to candidates with a high school diploma and at least 1 year of experience in a front office or clinical setting
Skills

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Strong problem-solving and interpersonal communication abilities

Proficiency with computers and electronic systems
