🧠 About the TIP Facilitator Role

Central Behavioral Health is seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Cycle Specialist to support the daily operations of our Revenue Cycle Department. This position plays a vital role in ensuring accurate client registration, insurance verification, payment processing, and revenue cycle support activities while serving as a resource for electronic health record (EHR) and billing system workflows.

The ideal candidate is organized, customer-service focused, comfortable working with healthcare technology, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced behavioral health environment..

📝 Responsibilities

  • Process cash receipts and deposits accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Post client and payer payments within the billing system.
  • Perform insurance eligibility verification and benefit checks.
  • Review new client registrations for completeness and accuracy.
  • Conduct intake scrubs to ensure required documentation, consents, and signatures have been obtained.
  • Maintain county authorization information, including MHX numbers and related documentation.
  • Generate and distribute client invoices and statements.
  • Assist with client account inquiries and payment-related questions.
  • Support revenue cycle workflows to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement.
  • Serve as a departmental superuser for the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and billing software systems.
  • Provide basic user support and troubleshooting assistance to staff.
  • Assist with training and onboarding staff on EHR and billing system workflows.
  • Monitor data quality and identify registration or documentation issues.
  • Collaborate with clinical, intake, and billing staff to resolve workflow concerns.
  • Participate in department meetings and process improvement initiatives.

🎓 Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Preferred: Experience working in healthcare, behavioral health, medical office administration, or revenue cycle support.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Preferred: Experience with insurance verification, payment posting, registration, scheduling, or billing support functions.
