🧠 About the MODIA® CRS Role
Central Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) to serve as the MODIA® Program Coordinator under a newly awarded opioid remediation grant. This position plays a key role in supporting individuals with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) and co-occurring behavioral health conditions through digital health engagement and recovery support services.
The MODIA® program is a digital CBT-based tool designed to enhance client engagement, retention, and wellness in between clinical appointments. The CRS will help clients navigate the program and apply its principles, ensuring consistent support throughout their recovery journey.

📝 Responsibilities
- Serve as the MODIA® Program Coordinator, onboarding and engaging clients in the digital health platform
- Meet weekly with clients (approximately 1 hour per session) to discuss progress in the MODIA program and recovery journey
- Support clients in understanding and applying CBT-based tools provided through MODIA modules
- Monitor client participation and module completion through the MODIA clinician portal
- Collaborate with therapists and psychiatric providers to integrate MODIA insights into treatment plan
- Assist clients in addressing barriers to engagement, including transportation coordination and access to contingency management incentives
- Promote harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and recovery-oriented principles
- Maintain detailed documentation and data reporting aligned with grant requirements
- Participate in training and supervision to maintain best practices in recovery support and digital health facilitation
- Backup to other Departmental, Special projects, or agency functions as needed.
🎓 Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s in human services preferred
- Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) in good standing
Experience & Skills
- Lived experience in recovery from substance use disorder with a minimum of 2 years in sustained recovery
- Prior experience in peer support or recovery coaching
- Strong interpersonal skills with a nonjudgmental, client-centered approach
- Comfortable with digital tools and basic technology use (tablets, phones, computers)
- Familiarity with CBT concepts or willingness to complete training on the MODIA platform
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

- Subject to the requirements of the Child Protective Services Law
