Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program

Central Behavioral Health » Adult Services » Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)

Montgomery Family Practice (MFP), in collaboration with Central Behavioral Health (Central), offers a Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program tailored to individuals with opioid use disorders, that are also seeking to establish care at MFP as their Primary Care Provider (PCP).

About Medication-Assisted Treatment

This program integrates MAT with outpatient group therapy and comprehensive psychiatric care for co-occurring individuals. The program is available to any insured patient, including those with Medicare/Medicaid coverage. Patients strictly seeking MAT without a co-occurring diagnosis, and those currently established at MFP for primary care, are also eligible. Individuals with co-occurring issues currently established at MFP who are seeking psychiatric care – will be referred to Central.

Services are delivered collaboratively by both agencies (MFP and Central). MAT is administered at Montgomery Family Practice, with clinic hours specifically allocated for MAT appointments. Tentatively, this will be set for Tuesday afternoons, from 1pm-4pm. This time is subject to change, as well as provider availability. Participants will be encouraged to engage in on-site opioid use disorder group therapy sessions conducted at Central on Tuesdays at 12 noon. Additionally, individuals looking to establish care for behavioral health services will be provided a referral to Central. Individuals are required to sign a release of information permitting HIPAA-compliant communication between the two agencies regarding treatment updates and progress.

A person with a co-occurring disorder will also be offered other groups within our Intensive Outpatient Program.
