🧠 About the Intensive School-Based Therapist Role

Central Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate and proactive Intensive School-Based Therapist to provide therapy and mental health support to students within our partner school districts. This role is embedded in schools and works closely with teachers, district staff, and families to deliver a full spectrum of support—individual, family, and group therapy—tailored to the needs of each student. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and capable of working independently, while also being a collaborative partner in the educational and therapeutic team.

📝 Responsibilities

  • Provide school-based therapy to up to 12 identified students, including individual, family, and group sessions

  • Deliver crisis counseling support as needed, including participation in an on-call rotation

  • Coordinate referrals to additional supportive services as appropriate

  • Offer professional development, consultation, and support to school staff

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency and school district standards

🎓 Qualifications

Education

  • Master’s degree from an accredited program in human services, psychology, counseling, education, or related field

  • Official transcript must reflect completed practicum

Experience & Skills

  • Experience working with children and adolescents preferred

  • Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Flexibility and professionalism in a school-based environment
