A Family Based Therapist works as part of a two-person team to provide in-home therapy and support services for children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral problems. The team works with both the child and their family to help cultivate a stable environment at home, increase the caregivers’ effectiveness, and stabilize the child’s emotional and behavioral health.
This position is 37.5 hours/week. Flexible scheduling available to meet the needs of the families.

Job Duties:
- Work in two-person clinical teams to deliver quality family therapy and resource coordination
- Use creative ways to engage young people and their family members to address complex family-systems issues
- Maintain a caseload of 6-8 children and their family members
- Attend career development certification trainings
- Attend weekly supervision with opportunities for licensure supervision hours
- Meet with clients and their families three times a week to provide individual and family therapy with sibling and couples/parent treatment provided as needed
- Make referrals for appropriate supportive services.
- Maintain client files including timely completion of case notes and treatment plans to ensure that the licensing and standards are upheld at all times.
Position Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in counseling, family therapy, social work, psychology, or related field
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working with children in a therapeutic setting (relevant internship experience may be considered)
- Valid Driver’s License and good driving record
Clearances:
