Family-Based Therapist

Job Overview:

A Family-Based Therapist works as part of a two-person team to provide in-home therapy and support services for children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral problems. The team works with both the child and their family to help cultivate a stable environment at home, increase the caregivers’ effectiveness, and stabilize the child’s emotional and behavioral health.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, 37.5 hours/week with flexible scheduling to support consumers’ needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in two-person clinical teams to deliver quality family therapy and resource coordination
  • Use creative ways to engage young people and their family members to address complex family-systems issues
  • Maintain a caseload of 6-8 children and their family members
  • Attend career development certification trainings
  • Attend weekly supervision with opportunities for licensure supervision hours
  • Meet with clients and their families three times a week to provide individual and family therapy with sibling and couples/parent treatment provided as needed
  • Make referrals for appropriate supportive services.
  • Maintain client files including timely completion of case notes and treatment plans to ensure that the licensing and standards are upheld at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Holds a Master’s Degree in Psychiatry, Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Education, Rehabilitation, or Human Services.
  • Have at least 2 years of experience in a Child and Adolescent Service System Program. (Relevant internship experience could be considered.)
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.

Clearances
